IF you're planning a beach holiday anytime soon then is book will be the perfect accompaniment.
We follow the war-time story of two families at Cresswell Manor. The men of the house are away at war and the women have to take on the running of the estate. Like many larger homes during the war, Cresswell Manor becomes home to soldiers while they were recovering from their injuries.
The women have to work harder than ever to keep things running smoothly and face many dilemmas along the way including faithfulness, loneliness and the reality that they may never to reunited with their loved ones.
As the last book in its trilogy, this story is a bit of a slow-burner, but it doesn't fail to impress.
